The last but not least day of our expedition

DAY 15, PART 2/2: Serbia
Romania-Bulgaria-Greece-Macedonia-Albania-Montenegro with Aventura Maramures

il 1 - Clown car

Two hours later we set off. After about 70 km, just before the gates on the highway, the car goes out. Successively we jump out of the vehicle like from clown car: driver, passenger and three passengers from the back seats (remember - we have one more passanger in the trunk). Hastily, while still goes on, we push our car on the side of road.

M. goes to find out where we can recharge the accumulator or where is car workshop. Highway employee wanting to help dials to a nearby mechanic.
At this time, as if by a magic wand, comes to us man, who immediately diagnose the cause of failure and... gets a call from a highway employee who talked with M. It turns out to be the same mechanic!

After towing and five hours waiting for regeneration and replacement of brushes in the generator we recive an obscenely high bill. Finally, we set off on our way and after midnight we get to Koszarawa to stop for the night.



That's our whole expedition. We all drift to our homes, unable to wait for the next trip.

il. 2 - In anticipation of the car repair we eat leftover pieczonki because there is no restaurant in the area.

Dwie godziny później wyjeżdżamy w dalszą drogę. Po przejechaniu ok. 70 km, tuż przed bramkami na autostradzie samochód gaśnie. Niczym z pojazdu klauna wyskakują kolejno: kierowca, pasażer, a następnie 3 pasażerów z tylnych siedzeń (bakuje tylko, żeby jeszcze Z. wyskoczyła z bagażnika, ale w pośpiechu nikt nie myśli o tym, aby uwolnić krakena). Pospiesznie, póki jeszcze toczy się siłą rozpędu, spychamy nasz środek transportu na pobocze.

M. idzie dowiedzieć się, gdzie ewentualnie można podładować akumulator lub poszukać warsztatu samochodowego. Pracownik autostrady chcąc pomóc wykręca numer do pobliskiego mechanika.
W tym czasie, jak za sprawą magicznej różdżki, niespodzianie podchodzi do nas mężczyzna, który natychmiast stawia diagnozę przyczyny awarii i... odbiera telefon od pracownika autostrady, ponieważ okazuje się być rzeczonym mechanikiem.

Teraz czeka nas już tylko holowanie, 5 godzin oczekiwania na regenerację i wymianę szczotek w alternatorze oraz nieprzyzwoicie wysoki rachunek. Wreszcie ruszamy w dalszą drogę i zdrowo po północy dojeżdżamy do Koszarawy, aby zatrzymać się na nocleg.

Ot i cała nasza wyprawa. Następnego dnia uczestnicy rozjeżdżają się do domów, nie mogąc doczekać się kolejnej wyprawy.

il. 2 M. is optimistic and T. thinks how to solve a problem

We get up at dawn in the hope that rural residents are also morning's birds. M. locates a sizeable homestead, where bustles an elderly woman. Every door (home, sheds, barns etc) are standing wide open. He is trying to ask her for help, talking about our problems with the car and need of charge the battery, but the old woman doesn't want to listen - she threaten to call the police and trying to embitter her dog that apparently no desire to move. Judging that maybe male seemed too be to frightening for her, we are sending O. for negotiations. The result turns out to be the same. Conclusion? We must seek help elsewhere.

Wstajemy o świcie mając nadzieję, że mieszkańcy wsi także są porannymi ptaszkami. Mały lokalizuje pokaźne gospodarstwo, w którym krząta się jakaś starsza kobieta, a wszelkie drzwi (do domu, szopy, obory etc) stoją szeroko otworem. Próbuje poprosić ją o pomoc, mówiąc o naszych problemach z samochodem i koniecznością naładowania akumulatora, ale staruszka nie chce słuchać - straszy go policją i próbuje poszczuć psem, który najwyraźniej nie ma chęci ruszyć się z legowiska. Sądząc, że płeć męska wydała się zbyt przerażająca kobiecinie, na pertraktacje wysyłamy O., jednak rezultat okazuje się jednakowy. Wniosek: trzeba szukać pomocy, gdzie indziej. 

il. 3 W. during packaging

While the rest of the team cleans up our camp, M. goes north, and O. south. The plot thickens. O. sees a moving car and starts chasing him. The driver realizes after a while that someone running after him shouting. This time we have more luck.
The man admittedly hurry to work, but he understands the problem.He drives up to a nearby house and tries to call his friend (the owner) screaming from behind the fence, but to no avail. There is a farm opposite, where (as he tells us) lives mother of his colleague. She can not help us (we do not understand why: or there is no electricity or the problem is somewhere else), but she dials to her son and she manages to wake him up. Now everything goes smoothly. Man No. 1 introduces us to his friend and in good conscience leaves to work, man No. 2 (charming Serb, about 30 years old) offers us a morning beer or coffe and starts charging accumulator bring by M.

W czasie gdy reszta drużyny zbiera nasze obozowisko, M. wyrusza na północ, a O. na południe. Akcja się zagęszcza. O. dostrzega jadący samochód i rzuca się za nim w pogoń. Kierowca orientuje się dopiero po przejechaniu sporego dystansu, że ktoś za nim biegnie krzycząc. Tym razem trafiamy znacznie lepiej. 

Mężczyzna co prawda spieszy się do pracy, ale rozumie problem. Podjeżdża do pobliskiego domu i próbuje wywołać właściciela krzycząc zza ogrodzenia, ale bezskutecznie. Zachodzi do gospodarstwa naprzeciw, gdzie jak rozumiemy mieszka matka kolegi. Ona nie umie nam pomóc (nie rozumiemy, czy nie ma prądu, czy problem tkwi jeszcze gdzie indziej), ale wykręca numer do syna i udaje jej się go obudzić. Teraz już wszystko idzie gładko. Mężczyzna nr 1 przedstawia nam swojego kolegę i z czystym sumieniem odjeżdża do pracy, zaś mężczyzna nr 2 (uroczy około 30 letni Serb) proponuje nam poranne piwo lub kawę do wyboru i podłącza przytargany przez M. akumulator do ładowania.
